Football, filed by price rather than by promotion

Football is what this market bets on: sports phrases are 19% of everything Ghana searches in this subject, and every sportsbook on the register prices it. What separates them is the margin and the accumulator ladder, and only one of those is advertised.

A welcome offer is used once. A margin is applied to every slip for as long as the account is open, which is why an index that files both puts the margin first. The trouble is that margins are hard to establish from outside the country and the figures that do exist were not all produced the same way, so this shelf splits them rather than sorting them into one column.

The accumulator ladder is the other half, and in this market it is the more important half for a good part of the register. four of these books run no first deposit offer at all and compete on what they add for extra legs, which means a table with an empty offer column beside their names would be describing the market wrongly rather than describing a gap in the filing.

Margins computed across a whole football book

Four of the twelve sportsbooks carry a figure taken across every football market the book published when it was read. These four can be held against each other. Nothing else on this page can.

betPawa
5.08% median across the whole football book. Median across every unique football event carrying a full-time match-result market, crawled from the whole event tree in one snapshot.
SportyBet
6.12% median across the whole football book. Median across every football match carrying a match-result market on the operator’s own Ghana price feed, several hundred of them in one pull.
Betwinner
6.70% median across the whole football book. Median across three dozen real football fixtures on the operator’s own feed, after aggregate specials were thrown out of the sample.
1xBet
6.71% median across the whole football book. Median across the fifty most-backed football events of the day on the operator’s own line feed, all tiers included.

The spread inside a single book dwarfs the spread between these four. The same operator can price a major European league at a small fraction of its own median and a friendly at several times it, which is why a figure quoted without the sample it came from means nothing, and why the flattering top-flight number is the one that circulates. What a margin is, if the word is new.

What each book adds for extra selections

Ten of the twelve sportsbooks publish a ladder. Every headline below is the top rung, reached at a number of legs almost nobody plays; the rung that matters is the one at four or five, and it is a small fraction of the number on the banner.

22Bet
Accumulator boost scaling to plus 100% on profit
BetFox
Unlimited Acca Bonus, at times past 1000%, two to sixty selections, no minimum odds, paid on net winnings
betPawa
Win Bonus, up to 1250% extra on winnings, three or more legs at 1.10 or longer, maximum at sixty
Betway
Win Boost, 3% on a two-fold rising to 100%, minimum 1.20 a leg
Betwinner
Accumulator boost and Accumulator of the Day
Melbet
Multiple bet boost, listed at 35%
MSport
Accumulator bonus up to 500%, from three selections at 1.20 a leg
Premier Bet
ACCA Bonus, 2% at two selections rising a point at a time to 20% at twenty, then to 150% at thirty-seven
Soccabet
Socca Bonus, 2% at two matches rising to 100% at thirty, on total winnings
SportyBet
MultiBet Bonus up to 1000% on accumulators, from two legs, minimum 1.20 a selection

How an accumulator ladder actually pays, including the minimum price per leg that quietly excludes the short favourites people build these out of.

What this shelf was built to answer

Twelve of the phrases Ghana searches in this subject were routed to this page, 4,800 searches a month between them. A good share of them ask for tips rather than for a bookmaker, and this shelf does not carry tips.

  • Phrases asking for a sure bet, a sure prediction or fixed odds for today are asking for something that does not exist. A price that was certain would not be priced. What is here instead is the margin, which is the part of a football price that is knowable in advance.
  • Phrases asking which book is best in Ghana get the whole register rather than a pick, because the answer depends on whether the reader cares about the price, the payout speed or being able to reach somebody, and those point at different books.

Questions this shelf gets asked

Which Ghanaian bookmaker has the best football odds?
Four of the 12 sportsbooks on the register carry a margin figure computed across their whole football book, and those four are listed above with the lowest first. That is the closest thing to an answer this index can support. The rest either publish no prices an outside reader can reach or have only been sampled on one league, which is the flattering end of any book's range.
Is an accumulator bonus worth more than a welcome offer?
For anybody who bets multiples regularly, almost certainly, because a welcome offer is used once and a ladder applies to every qualifying slip. That is why four books on this register run no deposit match at all and are perfectly competitive. The caveat is the minimum price per leg, which excludes exactly the short favourites most accumulators are built from.
Do these bookmakers cover the Ghana Premier League?
Domestic football appears on several of these books, and one of them has sponsored clubs in the league. What this index files is the list of sports each book carries as its own navigation states it, which is a description of coverage rather than a measure of how deep the domestic markets go. Nobody here has counted the Ghanaian fixtures on a coupon.
What does the margin figure actually cost me?
It is the share of every stake the book takes on that market, win or lose. A book at three per cent and a book at nine per cent are not two opinions about a match, they are two different products, and across a season of regular betting the gap between them dwarfs any one-off bonus. It is also the field that changes most quietly, since nothing announces a repriced book.
