What this site counts
Short, because there is not much to describe. This publication has no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and nothing to sell a reader directly, so it collects what is needed to know whether pages are read and nothing beyond it.
What is recorded
A page view: which page, roughly how wide the window was, which language the browser reports, and where the visit arrived from. A random identifier is generated for that single page view, it lives until the tab is closed, and it is never joined to anything else.
One further signal is sent the first time a visitor scrolls, taps or moves a pointer. It carries no content and exists for one reason: a program can imitate every other signal a server sees, and cannot imitate that one. It is how genuine readership is told apart from automated traffic, and it is sent once per visit or never.
An outbound click to a bookmaker records which brand and which page it left from, so the commercial side of this publication can be measured. It does not record anything about the person clicking.
What is not recorded
No account, no profile, no advertising identifier, no cross-site tracking, and nothing sold or passed to a data broker. No cookie is set for advertising purposes. Nothing on this site asks for a name, an email address or a phone number, so there is nothing of that kind to keep.
Third parties
Analytics are counted through this site’s own domain rather than through a third-party script embedded in the page, which is why there is no consent banner. Where an outbound link leads to a bookmaker, that bookmaker’s own privacy terms apply from the moment the reader arrives, and they are not this publication’s to describe.
