An index needs a glossary rather than a guides shelf, and the difference is not cosmetic. A guide answers a question somebody chose to write about and dates the moment its subject moves. A heading answers the question a reader arrived with, and holds a definition rather than a recommendation.

A

Accumulator bonus: A percentage added to the winnings of a slip carrying several selections, rising with the number of legs. Also written: acca bonus, multi bonus, win bonus.

C

Crash game: A round where a multiplier climbs from one and stops without warning, and a stake pays only if it was collected before the stop. Also written: Aviator, multiplier game.

D

Direct download: An Android application file served from the bookmaker's own site rather than through a store listing. Also written: APK, sideloading.

G

Geo-block: An operator serving one thing to visitors inside a country and something else to everybody outside it. Also written: country block, IP block.

M

Margin: The percentage by which a book's prices on one event add up to more than a certainty. Also written: overround, hold, vig.
Mobile money: A cash balance held against a phone number, which is how betting money moves in Ghana in both directions. Also written: MoMo, wallet, e-money.

P

Partial acceptance: A book taking part of the stake offered rather than all of it, which is the usual mechanism for cutting a winning customer down. Also written: stake factoring, being limited.
Permit: The authorisation the Gaming Commission of Ghana grants an operator, issued for a calendar year and renewed. Also written: licence, registration, GCSB number, GCCA number.
Playthrough: How many times a bonus has to be staked before anything from it can be withdrawn. Also written: wagering requirement, rollover, turnover.
Provenance: The record of who published a figure, kept beside the figure so a reader can weigh it. Also written: sourcing, where a figure came from.

Shelf life: This publication's own classification of how long each field it files can be trusted for. Also written: how long a fact keeps.
Stake not returned: A staked bonus that pays the winnings and keeps the stake, so its cash value is less than its face value. Also written: free bet, bonus stake, profit only.

T

Tax on winnings: A deduction taken from a payout, which Ghana levied from 2023 and repealed on 2 April 2025. Also written: withholding tax, betting tax.

U

Uncounted: A cell where nobody could establish the answer, kept distinct from a cell where the answer is nothing. Also written: unknown, not established.

W

Wallet tier: The identity level on a mobile money account, which sets the ceiling on what it can receive. Also written: KYC tier, wallet limit.
Welcome offer: A one-off inducement attached to a first deposit, and the shortest-lived thing this index files. Also written: first deposit bonus, sign-up bonus.

What is not in here

No entry names a bookmaker. A definition that needs a brand inside it is not a definition, it is an argument about that brand, and the place for those is the filed entry where it can be dated and sourced.

No entry tells anybody what to do. There is no heading for a staking plan, a system or a strategy, because a glossary that started recommending would be the thing this publication exists not to be, and because none of those words has a definition anybody agrees on.
